5/16/2023 0 Comments Fender musicmaster for sale![]() If you know someone in the USA who can forward it onto you, I’d be happy to make those arrangements. Please ignore the international shipping price. International buyers: I can only ship to the USA address on this. The only other thing to note is that the solder on the volume pot seems to have been touched up. The cable reacted with the finish on the back and left the marks that you see in the photos. The finish shows only very light handling Where, with the exception of an area on the back by the lower horn where the guitar rested for sometime on the cable. The strap that holds down the neck to the support is also still intact and fully functional. The interior still supports the Bulwin manufacturing company badge. The original Bulwin case is in very nice shape with some minor shelfware. ![]() The guitar also comes with the original bridge cover. The white buttoned single line Klusons work exactly as they should and look spectacular. The screws show slight oxidation, but the rest of the parts still retain the original luster. It also still has the original strings on it! I will leave them for the next owner to do with them what they will. The guitar sports a beautiful slab board Brazilian Rosewood neck. I’ve chosen to leave it with the guitar to keep the package as original as possible. This case candy is worth quite a bit on its own and could be sold separately at quite a premium. Three of them have the name of the Dick Charles Music store on them, while one has the 50s style Fender logo on it. The guitar comes in its original case, along with the original polish cloth, gray cable, and several picks. I would rather say that it’s in near mint condition, but reverb lacks that category. Obviously on vintage instruments some allowance is permitted here. Note: I am listing this in the “mint” category because of its stellar condition. It is for this reason that we have this wonderful specimen of a collectible and high condition Fender Guitar up for sale today. While the process seems to have had an enthusiastic start, the guitar was quickly placed back in its case and left in the closet for the next 50 years or so. ![]() It was purchased in hopes that they would be able to learn to play electric guitar. There’s music store is still in business and is located in Glendale, California. The case is functional, but the middle latch is missing, and both end latches are no longer spring-loaded, and must be maunally moved to securely close the case. The neck has some gouges and nicks and scratches, but still plays very comfortably. (2/57 penciled neck date, 304645 pot codes) This guitar features the proper late 50s appointments such as the original gold anodized aluminum pickguard and fat soft V one piece maple neck. The pickguard is missing material from 2 corners. Here we have a beautiful aged and wonderful playing 1957 Fender Musicmaster in the classy and subtle original Desert Sand finish. The headstock has a repair below the decal, and may be missing a small piece of wood. ![]() The tuners look too good to be original, so I'm guessing they are the modern replacements. The shorter 22.5" scale makes bending notes easy, and the smaller size is perfect for folks with smaller hands, as well as women players, and for normal people it somehow just increases the "Fun Factor."Īs you can see from the photos, there is significant wear on the guitar - which is a good thing in this case - as this guitar is perfect for bringing out a vintage relic Fender, that in addition to the looks, also has the classic vintage character and tone, and playing feel of a vintage 1960s instrument. In fact, this guitar's pickup actually sounds bigger than one from a same era Strat. Musicmaster's have a great vintage character and tone that rivals Fender's more famous guitars. HERE for 1270 DPI Hi-Res photos of the Musicmaster, and HERE is some additional historical info, HERE is the Fender 1956 Catalog / Flyer, and here are some collector + end user reviews. For example, a '65 Blue Strat recently sold on eBay for $24k, so here is a great opportunity to own one in from the same era, made by the same guys in the same factory, with the same woods, and save about $23,000!!! Lucily, the market forces have spared them from the stratospheric collector prices. Originally marketed as a student guitar, these guitars were made to the same high quailty level, and from the same tonewoods as the Strat and Tele. Up for consideration is a vintage 1966 Fender Musicmaster electric guitar and case - a vintage classic 1950s Fender design that has been relic'd the real way, by 50 years of gigs. 1966 Fender MusicMaster Electric Guitar w/Case, Daphne Blue ![]()
